Welcome Jess!!

We have some exciting news to share! As we continue to grow and refine the experience at TEAL, we’ve brought on a powerhouse to lead our team.

Please join us in welcoming our new Salon Manager, Jess!

Jess is a true industry veteran with over 25 years of experience. As a licensed cosmetologist who has spent decades behind the chair and previously helped open a successful salon, she understands the "ins and outs" of the business like no one else. She knows exactly what goes into a flawless appointment.

When she isn’t keeping the salon in tip-top shape, Jess is a mom of three and currently helping her first daughter, Kelsey plan her wedding! She’s a die-hard football fan, a dog lover, and spends her downtime working on intricate diamond art.
If you appreciate a great sense of humor and a professional who gets things done, you’re going to love Jess. She brings a fantastic energy to the shop, and we’re lucky to have her.
Next time you’re in, please stop by the front desk and say hello!

Our first donation based yoga event!

On November 2, we hosted our first-ever donation-based yoga class to support the Lowell Humane Society. Guests enjoyed a peaceful 45-minute yoga session followed by cuddles with the adorable kittens from Mill City Kitties. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised $200 for the Lowell Humane Society. We are looking forward to our next yoga class here at Teal.

Recent Review Spotlight

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"I had my haircut done by Ann-Marie(Annie)today, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. She listened to everything I wanted — fuller ends, soft layers with face-framing and she delivered it perfectly. My hair looks healthier, thicker, and so much more polished now.

She was patient, explained what would suit my hair type, and made sure to keep as much length as possible while still giving me a fresh, clean shape. You can tell she really knows what she’s doing and cares about the final result.

I absolutely love my haircut, and I’m so glad I booked with her. Highly recommend Her..''

Best-Ever Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (not Dutch process)

  • 1 Tbsp. baking soda

  • 3/4 Tbsp. kosher salt

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

  • 1 1/4 cups mayo

  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp. espresso powder

Frosting

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temp

  • 3 cups confectioners’ sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt

  • 2 Tbsp. milk

  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1

  • Make cake: Heat oven to 350˚F. Coat 9-by-13-in. pan with nonstick spray; line with parchment, leaving overhang on 2 long sides; spray parchment.

    Step 2

  • In large bowl, whisk flour, both sugars, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt until no clumps remain. In second bowl, whisk warm water, mayo, vanilla and espresso powder until smooth. Make well in dry ingredients and gradually add liquid mixture, whisking constantly until batter is smooth.

    Step 3

  • Transfer batter to prepared pan, smooth top and bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 38 to 42 min. Let cool 20 min.; then, using parchment overhangs, transfer cake to wire rack to cool completely.

    Step 4

  • Meanwhile, make frosting: Using mixer on medium, beat butter until smooth, 2 min. Reduce speed to low; add confectioners’ sugar, vanilla and salt and mix to combine, 2 min. Increase speed to medium and beat until smooth and creamy, 2 min., then beat in milk. Spread frosting over cooled cake and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Start the new year off with a new read

This Time Next Year

By Sophie Cousens

"Minnie Cooper knows two things with certainty: that her New Year's birthday is unlucky, and that it's all because of Quinn Hamilton, a man she's never met. Their mothers gave birth to them at the same hospital just after midnight on New Year's Day, but Quinn was given the cash prize for being the first baby born in London in 1990--and the name Minnie was meant to have, as well. With luck like that, it's no wonder each of her birthdays has been more of a disaster than the one before."
